Environmental Biology and Chemistry Branch: Summary Statement

The Environmental Biology and Chemistry Branch focuses on three objectives: to maintain collaborative support laboratories in the disciplines of Chemistry, Inhalation Toxicology, Comparative Pathology, and Veterinary Medicine; to program and coordinate experimental animal procurement, housing, and utilization within the Institute; to plan and conduct research appropriate to the capabilities of Branch laboratories: Administratively, the Environmental Biology and Chemistry Branch is organized into four sections: Animal Husbandry, Chemistry, Comparative Biology, and Inhalation Toxicology. Operationally, specific work units (size and composition of each being determined by task requirements) often are drawn from several sections of the Branch.
